Announcement

 

Frankfurt, Germany: The 4th General Election of the ERC was successfully held in Frankfurt, Germany on September 2, 2018. The election was organized by ‘Hand 4 Burma’, Germany. The aims of the election were to elect the new council members from each of the European countries and the new executive body for the next two years. Rohingya delegates from different European countries participated and shared their views and ideas for the ultimate interest of Rohingya around the world.

 

After announcing the agendas and procedures of the election, the responsible members from the previous executive body and previous council members presented their activities in the past two years. The ERC treasury presented the details of ERC’s bank account for the past two years.

 

After dissolving the previous team of board of trustee (BOT), council member and executive body, the General Assembly unanimously selected an Election Team. Then, new members of the ERC were welcomed. The new members from each country elected at least one new council member. The ERC council formed a new BOT. As per constitution, the new council members elected the executive body consisting of chairman, vice-chairman, and general secretary. The executed body formed different secretariats, approved by the Council and BOT.

 

The election result was finally pronounced successfully and the authority was handed over to the new elected body, which will run day-to-day activities with utmost honesty, integrity and transparency for a period of two years.

In the name of Allah, the most merciful and the most compassionate:

Carlow, Ireland: Thanks to Al-mighty Allah, the 3rd general election of the ERC was successfully held on November 27, 2016 in Woodford Dolmen Hotel, Carlow, Ireland. The aims of the election were to elect the new council members from each of the European countries and new executive body for the next two years. Rohingya delegates from different European countries participated and shared their views and ideas for the ultimate interest of Rohingya around the world.

After announcing the agenda and procedures of the election, the responsible members from the previous executive body and previous council members presented their activities in the past two years. The ERC treasury presented the details of ERC’s bank account for the past two years.

After dissolving the previous council member team and executive body, the General Assembly eunamimously selected an independent external observer Prof. Dr. Abid Bahar, Canada to motinor the election process. Then, new members of the ERC were welcomed. The new members from each country elected at least one new council member. A Board of Trustee was added into the existing structure. As per constitution, the new council members elected the executive body consisting of chairman, vice-chairman, and general secretary. The elected executive body, then, formed the teams of media & information, Research & Training, and the Treasury.

The election result was finally pronounced successfully and the authority was handed over to the new elected body, which will run day-to-day activities with utmost honesty, integrity and transparency for a period of two years.

The ERC is pleased to invite all Rohingya individuals and organizations living in European Union for her 3rd election. The ERC is founded in 2012 in Denmark, and has been working tirelessly, and become one of the leading Rohingya organizations in short period of time working for the rights of the most oppressed people on earth, the Rohingya. In the upcoming election, the council is with plan to bring the new generation of Rohingya forward for the work of Rohingya. The following points will be proposed, discussed and finalized:
 
• Reviewing previous activities of ERC
• New appointment of council members
• New selection of executive body
• Reviewing the current constitution
• Financial overview will be presented to the paid members
• New action plan for the next year
• And many more
 
We specially invite talented Rohingya who have concern for the Rohingya to take the lead in ERC. There will be a conference in the morning time, and the detail agenda of the conference will be released soon.

Election 2015

Annual General Meeting and General Election of the European Rohingya Council (ERC), 8th February 2015.Best Western Hotel, Oslo Norway Annual meeting and the General election of the European Rohingya Council (ERC) was held on the 8th of February 2015, at the Best Western Hotel in Oslo, Norway. Rohingya delegates from different European countries have participated and shared their ideas and views. Responsible members of the ERC have given detail account of their activities and achievements they have accomplished since the formation of the organisation in October 2012 in Denmark while Mr. Zahedul Haque has given the details account of ERC’s financial activities and outstanding balance.

A three/member team, both to conduct ERC’s general election and to act as caretaker authority until a new body is elected, was unanimously named. The teams members are our distinguish guests Dr. Ambia Perveen, Dr. Khubaib and U Hla Maung.

Delegates from each country were give the time to present at least one candidate for the post of council member. After sometime delegates presented the caretaker authority with the names of their candidates. Thirteen Council members from 11 countries of the Europe are then confirmed. Then as par constitution, the council members elected the Chairman, vice-Chairman and a General Secretary.

The elected body with help of caretaker authority has also formed the four different groups to work in the separate fields of their expertise. Additionally seventeen new members from different countries has joined the ERC.

The meeting and the election was finally pronounced successfully concluded and the authority was handed over to the elected body, which will run ERC’s day-to-day activities with utmost honesty, integrity and transparency for a period of two years.
