Protest Near Burmese Embassy In Paris

On behalf of Rohingya people of Burma, the community of Srilanka in Paris has arranged a protest in order to raise the issues of human rights abuses and allegations of “ethnic cleansing” against Rohingya and the blockage of humanitarian aid and independent investigation in Rakhine State, Burma.

Mr. Haroon Yousuf – an ERC council member for France, Mr. Abdul Majeed Ramlan, the President of Jaffna International Muslim Community in Paris, Dr. Malek Forazi Global Chairman of Human Rights Mission and the president of NRB Welfare society, an overseas community of Bangladesh on December 16, 2016 said,

“The state terrorism of Burmese democratic government against Rohingya people is un acceptable. We are demanding to stop this brutal and horrible game which has left thousands homeless, hundreds of murdered and rapes”. The protest was started at 15:00 and ended at 16:00.

The demonstration have demanded from Burmese government to:
– Stop the genocide of Rohingya.
– Allow Independent investigation including Rohingya elders in the investigating commission.
– Allow doctors without borders.
– Allow International media.

How many children will you kill?
How many women and girls will you rape?
How many people will you kill and burn alive?

Since 9th October, More than 720 Rohingya civilian lives with nearly 1000 under arbitrary arrest, with used gang-rape against more than 250 Rohingya women and girls as young as 10. At least 3000 houses have been burnt down, which has been captured in Human Rights Watch’s satellite images, forced more than 40,000 Rohingya civilians to become homeless and who are now at high risk of starvation and lack of medical treatment.

More than 21,000 Rohingya have been forced to flee to Bangladesh while many boats were pushed back by Border Guard Bangladesh. Aung San Suu Kyi is busy in mess cleaning of her military, the same military who make her deprived to become a president of Myanmar. As far as Mr. Kofi Annan is concern, he is not visiting the effected areas. So, he is following her footstep.
