13th January 2021: The European Rohingya Council extends its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the leaders and citizens of the Republic of Indonesia following the Sriwijaya air plane crash on Saturday. The Rohingyas and the Indonesians share a heartfelt relationship and we are indebted to the love and care that Indonesians, especially the rescuing fishermen and farmers, have shown to the Rohingyas, particularly to the boat people.

We express our solidarity with the people of Indonesia and the kin of the victims in these difficult times. The deceased are in our prayers and thoughts.
